// TTU - Alumni Survey

SITUATION

The Texas Tech University Alumni Association publishes a magazine free to members of the TTU AA. The magazine is published bi-monthly and features stories on alumni who have made a significant impact in their industry or community. The magazine also features stories and photos about campus events and improvements, as well as updates on older and younger alumni.

OBJECTIVE

The Alumni Association wanted to know how the magazine was being perceived. Specifically, they wanted to know who was reading the magazine and if an online component would be preferred. They wanted feedback from both older and younger alumni.

SOLUTION

The Price Group developed an online survey for graduates after 1970 and a printed survey for those before 1970. The younger alumni received an email blast driving them to the TTU AA website to complete an online survey. Older graduates received their survey via mail. As an incentive, TPG recommended and helped secure a TTU football helmet signed by head coach Mike Leach.

RESULTS

Approximately 15,000 email surveys were distributed with a response rate of 14.88%. The 7,000 mailed surveys netted a 14.67% response.
