PRICE GROUP VOLUNTEERS AT BRIDGE OF LUBBOCK

LUBBOCK, Texas - February 28, 2011 - The Price Group has completed its first Pitch-in project of 2011 with much success. This past Friday, 17 members of the Pitch-in team turned off their computers, put down their phones and spent the afternoon serving their community at the Bridge of Lubbock.

The Bridge of Lubbock is a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving the population in East Lubbock, an economically disadvantaged part of the city, through special outreach programs such as Feed the Mind, Bridge to Success and Tammie's  Closet.

Pitch-in team members got to know more about the Bridge while serving lunch to more than 100 men, women and children.  The Feed the Mind lunch provides a free, hot meal each Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon from Noon - 1:00 p.m. to those in need.

The team spent the remainder of their time distributing gently used clothes, blankets and household items to more than a dozen families who came through Tammie's Closet that afternoon.

Pitch-in was created to bring the employees of The Price Group closer together through community service. Our mission is to give us a creative outlet beyond our office and industry while learning about the different service organizations in our community and, as always, to enjoy life.
